The Dreaded Bug
Monday my husband had a day off. He had the privelege of being the parent helper at Little Sis's preschool. They both had a blast. Later that day he said he wondered if something might have been wrong with those apples they ate at snack time, since his stomach felt weird. I brushed it off not realizing what the future held for me. About two that afternoon it began...the stomach bug!! Ahhhhhhhhh! This is my least favorite sickness (I am sure I'm not alone in this.) Little Sis was first followed soon after by her dad. We had quite a restless night needless to say. Can you really sleep with one eye open? I was lying in wait for her all night. Ready at a second's notice. My husband didn't fare well either, but he was on his own. After a long night Little Sis was thirsty, she said "My heart wants a drink of Sprite." I said "What is your tummy saying?" She said, "my tummy is saying "Sprite, Sprite"" I thought it was pretty funny and pitiful. Thankfully she was better by morning. I can't say the same for my husband, he spent all of Tuesday in bed or assuming the position. Thankfully, He did get well and is headed to work today. But surprise, Big Sis, woke up sick today. I am back on duty. Let's hope mommy can dodge the bullet.

A special day for a special boy
Today I wanted to say Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet nephew, C, he was diagnosed with leukemia about 8 months ago. Despite all the yucky treatments and side effects he is a super funny and sweet boy. Pray for him and his mom and dad. I don't know how they get through this. It has to be a God thing. This is one of those things that happen here on earth that doesn't make any sense. It's not fair. With our small human thinking we can't wrap our brains around how this could be working out for our good. I am thankful that I don't have to figure it out and that the one who is in control knows all the details. God knew C before he was born and he loves him more than the rest of us do all put together.
James 5:11
"As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy."
Thank you God for our children and the gift that they are. Help us to raise them to bring you glory. I love you Lord, thanks for loving us and sending your only Son to die for us so we could be called your children. In Jesus name, Amen
Happy Birthday, C!!
Aunt Jamie loves you!!

Here we go
Well, I have been in a habit lately of reading some of the blogs of my Branson friends. I thought I would give it a try. My life is pretty uneventful most of the time, but I know that God is using me to do his will and I want to have a way to express how I feel about that. We will see if anyone finds it interesting. Here goes nothing. Right now I am stuck at home for one more "snow"day. I am going stir crazy. Maybe that is another reason I wanted to do this. I am reaching out for some adult interaction.
